The meaning of "curation" within the ethos of the Fuggerei is to guarantee humanistic values such as non-violence, dignity, tolerance and the freedom of the individual. However, the safeguarding of human dignity should be a task for society generally and at all times. Incentives for an appreciative cooperation promote a functioning, healthy community. Who is responsible for working towards sustainable action in this respect? How can essential humanistic values be guaranteed in housing? And is curation also the right way to guarantee humanistic values in a Fuggerei of the future?
