Overcoming need is more than just eliminating the lack of financial resources. Need is manifested in very different ways. The social security system in Germany provides support for people's basic needs - but where do they fall short? What are the paths that can bring people out of a state of need? How important are community, opportunities for education and participation, and what is the significance of housing? What role could a Fuggerei play in this? The talks explore exciting approaches to classifying and overcoming need.
Guests: Martin Schenkelberg, Office of Social Affairs for the City of Augsburg; Silke Königsberger, Head of the Augsburg Job centre; Angela Kesselring, Ambassador of the Google Future Workshop; Doris Herzog, officer for social education at the Fuggerei; Christine Thoma and Noel Guobadia, both residents of the Fuggerei.
